Job summary

Youngsters And Fine Etiquette is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist to join our team in New York. This full-time, on-site role serves children in school-based and outpatient settings, delivering individualized therapy plans to support academic, social, and functional development.

You will collaborate with educators, families, and a multidisciplinary team to implement therapy plans, conduct assessments, and deliver sessions.

Qualifications

• Associate-level education or equivalent in Occupational Therapy or a related field.
• Experience with pediatric or school-based populations.
• Valid Occupational Therapy license or eligibility to practice in New York.
• Strong understanding of child development and pediatric therapy techniques.
• Ability to assess and treat fine motor, sensory, and functional challenges.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with children and families.
• Strong organizational and documentation abilities.
• Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping children succeed.
• Ability to work on-site in a school-based and outpatient environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services to children in school-based and outpatient settings.
• Assess students' fine motor, sensory, and functional skills to determine therapy needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and goals.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student progress.
• Deliver direct therapy sessions in individual and group formats.
• Document evaluations, progress notes, and treatment outcomes accurately.
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning.
• Adapt activities and environments to promote independence and participation.
• Monitor and adjust therapy interventions based on student response.
• Educate families and caregivers on strategies to reinforce therapy goals at home.
• Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations and professional standards.
