Job summary

Therapy 2000 is seeking a Pediatric Occupational Therapist to serve children in Manvel, Fresno, and Arcola. You will evaluate, design home-based therapy plans, and partner with families to support growth and daily living skills.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice Occupational Therapy in Texas.
• 3+ years of pediatric OT experience.
• Experience in home-health settings.
• Feeding therapy or related clinical certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive Occupational Therapy evaluations using standardized tests to determine therapy needs.
• Develop and implement treatment plans aligned with physicians' orders.
• Develop home exercise programs with patients' caregivers.
• Collaborate with other providers and coordinate care; complete required visits weekly.
• Meet deadlines for chart updates, progress summaries, call logs, and paperwork.
• Participate in meetings to maintain understanding of expectations and care standards.
• Ensure all duties comply with agency policies, codes of ethics, and laws for home-health pediatric OT.

Qualifications

What you’ll need:

• A current/active license to practice Occupational Therapy in the state of Texas.

Responsibilities

What you’ll do:

• Perform comprehensive Occupational Therapy evaluations, using standardized tests to determine patients’ needs for therapy.
• Use your clinical judgment to develop and implement relevant treatment plans aligned with physicians’ orders.
• Develop home exercise programs in partnership with patients’ caregivers.
• Act as a vital member of your patients’ medical neighborhoods, collaborating and coordinating care between various providers and disciplines.
  Complete a minimum number of patient visits on a weekly basis as required by the agency.
• Meet deadlines for completion of patient chart updates, progress summaries, call logs, and all other paperwork as needed.
• Meet with agency personnel as necessary to maintain understanding of expectations and standards related to delivering high-quality patient care.
• Perform all duties in compliance with agency policies and procedures.
• Adhere to all rules, regulations, codes of ethics, guidelines and federal, state and local laws applicable to home-health pediatric occupational therapy.
