Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited University.
• Successful completion of an internship under the direction of an OT.
• Passed the entry level certification exam as validated by NBCOT/AOTCB/AOTA.
• Obtained state registration.
• Successful completion of appropriate screening tests with passing rate.
• Professional experience required per state regulations.
• Displays good observation skills and judgement, as well as good oral and written communication skills.
• Reliable Transportation.
• Current CPR certification per state regulations.

Responsabilités

• Seeks and obtains sufficient information necessary to function effectively.
• Provides individual patient services and determines priority needs for occupational therapy by evaluating therapeutic, rehabilitative and functional status.
• Evaluates the home environment and assesses the need for adaptive equipment or improve function.
• Participates in the development of the total plan of care and directs the OT plan of care.
• Instructs patients and families in use and care of therapeutic appliances and/or devices.
• Maintains communication regarding patient status with supervisory personnel and collaborates with the physician and team.
• Completes and maintains accurate clinical notes and observes patient progress, revising the plan of care as necessary.
• Represents themselves in a positive and professional manner and adheres to dress code and agency guidelines.
