Job summary

DSC Illinois in Champaign, IL is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide pediatric therapy services, focusing on motor development, sensory processing, feeding, and self-care skills for children birth to age 3.

Responsibilities include evaluations, documentation, collaborating with families and other professionals, and fulfilling grant-funded benefits with a supportive, mission-driven team.

Qualifications

• Degree in Occupational Therapy with current Illinois license.
• Early Intervention credential preferred (or ability to obtain upon hire).
• Experience in pediatric therapy and working with families is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide therapeutic intervention addressing motor development, sensory processing and regulation, feeding and mealtime participation, play, self-care skills, positioning, adaptive skills, and functional participation for children birth to age 3.
• Conduct evaluations, assessments, and maintain accurate electronic records.
• Complete sessions as authorized and meet documentation and billing timelines.
• Partner with families using evidence-based practices to support caregivers’ competence and child development.
• Collaborate with service coordinators, physicians, childcare providers, and therapy team members.
• Attend department meetings, IFSP meetings, transition planning and other consultative meetings.
