Hospital for Special Care in the United States seeks a diligent Food Service Attendant to support pediatric nutrition services. You will prepare pediatric formulas, assist in patient tray line, check trays for accuracy, and communicate menu preferences with patients and families.
Responsibilities include delivering meals to clinical units, entering selections into the menu system, maintaining sanitation, stocking areas, and following safety guidelines.

Department: Food and Nutrition
Work Shift: First Shift (5:00 am – 1:30 pm; 6:00 am – 2:30 pm; 9:00 am – 5:30 pm; 9:15 am – 5:45 pm)
High School Diploma or Graduate Equivalency Diploma (GED). At least one‑year experience in hospital food service is preferred. Must be able to read, write and understand instructions to perform responsibilities independently. General knowledge of therapeutic diets is preferred. Excellent attention to detail, service knowledge, communication and organization skills are required.
Performs essential duties associated with the nutritional care and food service to all patients. Responsible for pediatric formula preparation, food/snack preparation, general cleaning, and stocking of food service areas. Other duties include working with patients and/or caregivers to obtain menu selections, set up and service on the patient tray line, delivering items to and from clinical units, and working the cash register in the main cafeteria.
