Qualifications

• Graduate degree required; if not in nursing, must have a nursing degree plus graduate degree in related field.
• Minimum 3 years RN patient care experience.
• Experience teaching in a registered nursing program is preferred.
• Current unencumbered RN license or enhanced compact license for state of teaching.
• Certified Nurse Educator certification and national specialty cert preferred.
• Maintain ongoing professional competency through activities like education, conferences, or research.

Responsibilities

• Develops, teaches, and evaluates the nursing education program’s philosophy and objectives.
• Designs, implements, and revises the curriculum.
• Leads simulation learning experiences in the Nursing Lab.
• Teach didactic courses, oversee clinical adjuncts, and evaluate student performance.
• Mentor faculty, adjuncts, and students; participate in governance and policy work.
