Job summary
Summit Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Director of Nursing for our client, a pediatric skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility focused on long-term care. You will provide clinical leadership, oversee staffing and regulatory compliance, and collaborate with therapists, social work, and family-centered care teams.
The role requires an active RN license, extensive pediatric leadership experience, and a hands-on approach to patient care when needed.
Qualifications
- Active and valid RN license in good standing.
- Experience in pediatric skilled nursing facility or similar setting.
- Ability to lead clinical teams and manage regulatory compliance.
- Willingness to engage directly in patient care when needed.
- Strong communication with families and multidisciplinary teams.
- Budgeting and resource planning experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on clinical leadership across pediatric nursing operations.
- Oversee staffing, scheduling, and pediatric resource allocation.
- Lead QAPI initiatives to strengthen care standards.
- Collaborate with PT/OT/ST, child life, social work, and dietary teams.
- Monitor and improve quality, safety, and infection control metrics.
- Serve as primary clinical contact for families.
- Lead continuous improvement efforts to advance care and operations.
