Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Pediatric Nursing.
• Current unencumbered Illinois RN license required
• At least 2 years' experience in clinical nursing practice
• Knowledge of Brightspace Learning Management System or similar LMS preferred
• Prior online teaching experience and/or online teaching certification strongly preferred
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to communicate with a diverse group of staff and students
• Experience with a diverse, multilingual student population desired

Responsibilities

• Design courses to meet learning outcomes and promote students’ active participation.
• Create an effective learning environment that fosters curiosity and problem-solving.
• Employ formative and summative assessments to ensure student learning and outcomes.
• Maintain attendance and grade records; hold weekly office hours for each course.
• Provide leadership in student academic and professional communities and promote collaboration.
• Present instruction based on approved course syllabi and standards.
• Assess and grade students using legitimate criteria.
• Support a safe, inclusive learning environment respecting diversity.
