Job summary

Cleveland Clinic’s Main Campus is seeking a lead Pediatric nurse administrator to supervise unit operations and ensure high-quality, family-centered care for children. You will oversee staffing, care delivery, and cross-department coordination in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates hold a BSN with 2+ years of pediatric clinical experience and have RN licensure, BLS, and PALS certifications. This full-time role requires leadership in quality projects and coverage across shifts at the M33

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• 2+ years of recent clinical nursing experience required.
• Pediatric experience preferred.
• Charge nurse experience preferred.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) must be presented upon hire or within the first year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate unit clinical operations.
• Provide patient care.
• Facilitate communication and collaboration among unit caregivers and other departments/units.
• Review major operational patient care issues with Nurse Managers.
• Provide ongoing clinical evaluations of caregivers and counsel on performance issues.
• Interview, select, and orient new caregivers.
• Prepare work schedules to ensure adequate coverage on all shifts.
• Participate in and support quality improvement projects, outcomes, studies, and research initiatives.
• Assist in assuming responsibilities of the Nurse Manager in their absence.
