Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner for a Primary Care setting on-site to provide comprehensive patient care. The NP will assess, diagnose, treat, educate, and manage follow-ups for a panel of patients in collaboration with physicians and the APP team.

The role requires a valid NP license, DEA license eligibility, and BLS certification. Strong critical thinking, interpersonal skills, and prioritization are essential to succeed in this collaborative clinic environment.

Qualifications

• Must have or be eligible for a DEA license.
• Approved to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in the state one works.
• Eligible for prescriptive authority application through the Board of Nursing or Medical Board in SC required.
• BLS required per policy guidelines and with expiration date greater than 90 days from date of beginning practice.
• Demonstrates critical thinking, interpersonal skills, and the ability to prioritize and concentrate.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, treat, educate, refer, and follow up for patient panels.
• Manage chronic illnesses and perform minimally invasive procedures.
• Recommend screenings based on patient demographics.
• Follow protocols mutually agreed with physicians and APP team.
• Identify abnormal findings and initiate interventions.
• Participate in committees and research as appropriate.
