Job summary

ADVOCARE, LLC is seeking a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to deliver well-child and sick visits with emphasis on preventive care and immunizations. You will obtain histories, perform exams, diagnose conditions and develop treatment plans within your scope.

You will also order tests, interpret results, prescribe medications, educate families and coordinate referrals as needed. Strong communication and clinical judgment are essential.

Qualifications

• MS in nursing or DPN from accredited program.
• Current unrestricted NJ RN state license and APN certification.
• Board Certification as a FNP or PNP.
• Active DEA registration or eligibility.
• Pediatric experience: preferred minimum 2 years of outpatient clinic or urgent care.
• Strong knowledge of pediatric preventative care, immunization, developmental milestones.
• Excellent clinical judgment.
• Excellent clinical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform well child exams, sick visits, follow up eval
• Obtain medical histories, conduct physical examination, diagnose and manage common pediatric conditions
• Order and interpret labs and diagnostic studies
• Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans within scope of practice
• Monitor growth, development and immunization, preventative care needs
• Provide patient and parent education, anticipatory guidance and counseling
• Identify conditions requiring referrals
• Maintain timely and accurate medical records
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, medical assistance to ensure high quality of patient care
