Job Summary
We are seeking a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive medical care to children from infancy through adolescence. The Pediatric Nurse Practitioner will work closely with families and supervising physicians to support the health and well-being of pediatric patients through preventive care, diagnosis, and treatment.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough examinations of newborns and children to monitor growth and development.
- Diagnose and treat illnesses, medical conditions, and injuries in pediatric patients.
- Prescribe medications and administer vaccinations as appropriate.
- Provide guidance to families regarding nutrition, safety, and other essential health topics.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed electronic medical records.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's health and development.
- Participate in community outreach and health education programs.
- Maintain assigned work schedules, including on-call, weekend, evening, and coverage hours as required.
- Work in person at multiple locations as assigned.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Nursing.
- Board certified or board eligible in Nursing.
- Valid Pennsylvania CRNP license.
- Nurse Practitioner / Advanced Practice Provider experience.
- CPR Certification.
- BLS Certification.
- DEA / State Board Certification.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required state clearances.
Required Clearances
- Pennsylvania State Criminal History Clearance.
- FBI Clearance for Department of Human Services.
- Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance.
