Job summary

GREATER NEW BEDFORD COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTER seeks an experienced Nurse Practitioner to provide outpatient pediatric care in New Bedford, MA. You will perform newborn and sick visits, school physicals, immunizations, and general pediatric procedures while reviewing histories and testing results.

Responsibilities include diagnosing and treating injuries/illnesses, educating families, and maintaining clinical records. Flexible schedule includes weekdays, some Saturdays, with per diem opportunities.

Qualifications

• Graduate Degree required for NP role.
• Board Certification as Nurse Practitioner required.
• Current and unrestricted Massachusetts NP license.
• DEA and Massachusetts CS registration.
• Maintain CPR/BLS certification.
• Engage in ongoing continuing medical education.

Responsibilities

• Perform newborn visits and sick visits.
• Conduct school physicals and preventive immunizations.
• Provide general pediatric procedures and care.
• Review patient medical histories and interpret diagnostic tests.
• Diagnose injuries/illnesses and provide education and treatment.
• Collaborate with supervisors and other care team.
• Maintain up-to-date clinical documentation.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the supervision of the Director of Pediatrics, the Nurse Practitioner will perform outpatient

• Diagnose patient injury/illness and provide appropriate treatment and education

Flexibleshifts: Mondays - Fridays, Saturdays and Per Diem

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION & OTHER CREDENTIALS:

• Current and unrestricted Massachusetts Nurse Practitioner License
• DEA and Massachusetts Controlled Substance Registration
• Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner
• Maintain current CPR/BLS Certification
• Maintain continuing medical education

PREFERRED SKILLS (Not Required)

• Proficiency in: Spanish, Portuguese, K'iche, Cape Verdean Creole
• 2+ Years Nurse Practitioner experience under a collaborative
