Qualifications

• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – Required

Responsibilities

• Performs professional nursing services as defined by the American Nurses Association and the California Nurse Practice Act.
• Supervises licensed and unlicensed nursing staff and assumes 24 hour responsibility for unit functioning.
• Collaborates with medical, administrative and interdisciplinary leadership to ensure optimal patient care outcomes.
• Monitors department expenditures and participates in budget planning and control measures.
• Leads department training, staff development and performance improvement aligned with Joint Commission standards.
