Trusted Doctors in Columbia, MD seeks a full-time or part-time clinical professional to prepare patients for visits, enter data in EMR, and administer immunizations. RNs and LPNs may perform phone triage; candidates should be willing to work 3–5 days, plus two self-scheduled Saturdays per month.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• 1 year experience, preferably in a pediatric medical group practice.
• Possession of a Commonwealth of Virginia Nursing License.
• CPR certified.

Responsabilités

• Performs general nursing care for patients, including administration of immunizations and treatments under provider direction.
• Updates patient medical records and uses computer templates.
• Participates in team huddles to discuss the day’s appointments and resources.
• Greet patients, screen for information, and obtain vitals for visits.
• Prepares equipment and assists providers during treatment and testing.
• Observes and reports patient conditions or adverse reactions to medications.
• Arranges referrals to specialists or tests and hospital admissions.
• Provides education to parents/patients by phone or in person.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient information and keeps exam rooms stocked.
