Job summary

Southernmed in Lexington, SC, is seeking a dedicated nurse to provide high-quality pediatric care. You will support medical providers, assist with examinations, and ensure accurate chart documentation throughout patient encounters.

Ideal candidates hold an Associate degree or higher, SC RN or LPN licensure, and familiarity with EMR systems. Experience in pediatrics and strong communication skills are preferred for a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Associates degree required.
• State licensure as RN or LPN in South Carolina.
• Experience in a pediatric medical practice preferred.
• Working knowledge of computer applications; EMR experience preferred.
• Ability to speak, read and write effectively.
• Ability to work independently without direct supervision.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and document vital signs.
• Instruct patients about medications and diets as directed by providers.
• Explain treatment procedures to patients.
• Prepare patients for examination and assist during exams.
• Collect and prepare laboratory specimens and perform basic tests.
• Maintain exam rooms and sterilize equipment as required.
• Prepare and administer medications as directed by physicians.
• Perform blood collection following established procedures.
