Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with current Georgia license for Advanced Practice Nursing and a Master's degree in Nursing, OR graduate of an accredited Physician Assistants program with current license for the Georgia State Composite Board.
• Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to assist in diagnosing medical problems and prescribing treatment.
• Takes patient histories and conducts physical examinations; documents findings and writes progress notes.
• Orders and interprets laboratory studies and diagnostic procedures; explains procedures to patients and families.
• Carries out therapeutic procedures such as casting and wound care; monitors progress and reports to supervising physician.
• Provides patient education and follow-up exams after procedures or hospitalizations when needed.
