Job summary

Nemours Children's Health is seeking a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our new Primary Care Offices in St. Cloud, Florida. The Advanced Practice Providers team will deliver comprehensive pediatric care within family-centered teams.

Responsibilities include exams, order and interpretation of tests, referrals to subspecialists, and development of school-based management plans. Requires Florida APRN/PA licensure, pediatric experience, and BLS; includes relocation and

Qualifications

Must have Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant certification.
Must hold current Florida APRN or PA license in good standing.
Previous pediatric experience required.
Current American Heart Association BLS.

Responsibilities

Provides medical and nursing care to pediatric patients with acute or chronic illnesses, with a patient/family centered care focus.
Performs complete or focused physical examinations.
Orders, performs, and interprets diagnostic or screening tests to develop treatment plans.
Refers clients to other health care professionals and agencies for specialized services.
Develops or approves in-school management plans for patients and provides health promotion guidance.
Must commit to working 2 Saturdays a month (4 to 6 hours shifts).
Initiates procedures within the APRN scope of practice as trained.
