Qualifications

• Knowledge of pediatrics health and related diagnostic and treatment modalities.
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Ability to analyze, plan, and coordinate medical care while making appropriate medical decisions.
• Ability to flexibly respond to changing demands.
• Ability to work effectively as a team member with physicians and other staff.
• Demonstrates active listening skills

Responsibilities

• Performs medical services within education, training and experience, including patient visits.
• Obtains histories, performs physical exams, and orders tests as needed.
• Develops and implements treatment plans per guidelines and protocols.
• Monitors therapy effectiveness and patient follow-up care.
• Works independently and with physicians; seeks input when needed.
• Maintains confidentiality and documents care in medical records.
• Reviews and signs off on labs and studies ordered.
• Communicates with patients about medications, follow-ups, and results.
• Educates patients and families to promote health and well-being.
• Precepts staff and participates in education activities as appropriate.
• Complies with Corporate Compliance Plan and regulatory requirements.
• Displays knowledge of E/M coding guidelines and applies them correctly.
