Job summary

Boston Children’s Hospital is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the Complex Care Services (CCS) in the inpatient setting. CCS cares for hospitalized children with medical complexity and coordinates care across the care team to improve safety and outcomes.

The role requires a Master’s degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies and current MA NP/PA licensure with PNP or FNP certification; 1+ year pediatric NP/PA experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing or Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, assess, and facilitate care for medical and surgical patients with medical complexity admitted to the Complex Care Service.
• Help implement interventions to improve care systems and enhance patient safety.
• Collaborate with supervising physicians and the nursing/medical team to promote optimal care.
• Act as a clinical resource and facilitate staff educational opportunities.
• Participate in learning, quality improvement, and/or research initiatives.
• 24-hours/week with 50% day/night rotation and every 3rd weekend; 12-hour shifts.
