Job summary

Eastern Iowa Health Center in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner specialized in Pediatrics to join our expanding practice in February 2027. The role provides pediatric medical care in a Federally Qualified Health Center setting, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to address health and social needs.

Qualifications

Nurse Practitioner license to practice in the State of Iowa required.
Iowa Certificate of Controlled Substances, Federal DEA, and current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

Provide general pediatric medical care, working collaboratively with providers, nurses, and other multidisciplinary team members.
Collect appropriately comprehensive patient health data to identify and treat the physical, social, and emotional health needs of individuals and families through systematic assessment of health histories, physical evaluations, and lab or other diagnostic tools.
Develop and implement a comprehensive plan of care that includes interventions and treatments to attain expected outcomes using evidence-based strategies, interventions, and education to promote, maintain, and improve health and prevent illness and injury.
