Job summary

UCSF Health in San Francisco seeks a strategic and operational leader for the Pediatric Heart Center’s non-invasive labs, including the Echocardiography Lab, Fetal Cardiovascular Program, and Stress/EKG Lab. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training
• Five (5) years’ work experience as a Pediatric Cardiac Sonographer in a dedicated pediatric Echo Lab
• Five (5) years’ of prior management/supervisory experience in a dedicated pediatric Echo Lab
• In-depth clinical practice and applied background in one or more cardiovascular and service areas
• Advanced knowledge of industry trends
• Strong knowledge of medical center, HR and UC policies and processes
• Knowledge of relevant external regulations
• Strong leadership, fiscal, and operational management skills
• Advanced interpersonal skills to develop and maintain professional relationships with clinical and professional staff at all levels, resolve conflict and foster collaboration and coordinate cardiovascular services across functions
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to evaluate complex issues and resolve problems
• Ability to manage conflict and lead others to achieve objectives

• Ensure effective management of staffing, fiscal, and material resources
• Collaborate with physician and administrative leadership to optimize patient access, coordinate clinical operations, mitigate risk, and drive continuous improvement across the continuum of care
