Job summary

Children’s Nebraska is seeking a Pediatric Registered Nurse to join our 7p-7a rotating shift schedule with weekends and holidays coverage. The role involves coordinating professional nursing and family-centered care across the care continuum in a high-acuity pediatric environment.

The RN provides education, participates in on-call activities, and supports interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Nebraska licensure and pediatric experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• RN license is required and current in Nebraska.
• BLS, PALS, NRP, ACLS, ENPC, TNCC certifications required or obtained per policy.
• Medication administration, patient safety, and documentation standards.
• Epic experience preferred for patient records and communication.
• Experience with pediatric patients preferred; EPIC systems experience beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide age-appropriate, family-centered nursing care.
• Coordinate admissions, procedures, and discharge planning.
• Document assessments, care plans, and interventions per policy.
• Collaborate with physicians, RNs, and allied health professionals.
• Prioritize interventions and respond to changes in patient condition.
• Mentor and coach junior staff and students as needed.
