Job summary

Shriners Children’s St. Louis is seeking a PRN night shift Registered Nurse for the Inpatient Unit. You will provide direct patient care to pediatric patients with orthopedic conditions, spanning Med-Surg and ICU levels of nursing care.

The role requires a BSN or in progress, Missouri RN license, and BLS. Preferred candidates have 2+ years bedside RN experience, pediatric/ICU experience, and PALS certification; per diem night shifts typically 12-hour blocks.

Qualifications

• BSN degree or in process.
• Missouri RN License.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate nursing care including direct patient care, family education and transitions of care.
• Provide leadership by acting as an informal/formal leader, preceptor and through quality improvement efforts.
• Maintain excellent communication and mentoring with the team and families.
