Job summary
La Rabida Children’s Hospital is seeking an experienced registered nurse for night shift supervision and direct patient care in a pediatric setting. You will perform assessments, execute care plans, document thoroughly, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, high-quality care.
Ideal candidates have pediatric/PICU/NICU experience, Illinois RN licensure, and CPR/PALS certifications. A $10,000 sign-on bonus applies for nurses with 5+ years of experience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing is required; ADN may be considered if enrolled in BSN/MSN program within hire period.
- Pediatric, PICU & NICU experience preferred.
- Licensed as an RN in Illinois.
- CPR and PALS certifications required; RQI BLS timelines apply.
Responsibilities
- Complete initial and ongoing patient assessments and verify changes.
- Identify problems and update care plans and orders.
- Carry out prescribed interventions per policy and care plans; document actions.
- Maintain infection control, safety and regulatory compliance.
- Demonstrate effective communication and collaboration within the care team.
- Delegate tasks and provide coaching to ensure patient safety and quality care.
