Job summary

Phoenix Children's Hospital, Inc. seeks an experienced Physician Assistant to join the Division of Neurosurgery within Barrow Neurological Institute.

The APP will provide comprehensive team-based care for pediatric neurosurgery patients across inpatient and outpatient settings, with perioperative coordination and multidisciplinary collaboration. The role involves patient evaluations, rounds, discharge planning, clinic participation, and several call shifts per month in a leading pediatric

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from ARC-PA-accredited program.
• Arizona PA certification by start date.
• Maintain NCCPA certification.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Conduct outpatient evaluations and ongoing management of pediatric neurosurgical patients.
• Perform inpatient consultations, daily rounding, and coordinate comprehensive patient care.
• Document care in the EHR and communicate with consulting services, nursing, rehab, pharmacy, and other teams.
• Coordinate surgical care, discharge planning, and outpatient follow-up.
• Participate in multidisciplinary and satellite clinics.
