Job summary

The Chronicle Of Higher Education, Inc. is hiring an Instructor at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus to provide comprehensive patient care as a Pediatric Advanced Practice Provider. The role involves delivering critical care for neurosurgical patients both in inpatient and outpatient settings while working alongside a team of professionals.

Ideal candidates will have a master's degree in nursing or physician assistant studies and an active Colorado license. This position offers a competitive salary range of $108,503 - $145,329.60 along with exceptional benefits and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a master's degree in advanced Practice Nursing (Acute Care NP) or a graduate of an accredited program in Physician Assistant Studies.
• Current active license to practice in the state of Colorado as an Advanced Practice Nurse or Physician Assistant. Prescriptive authority is required.
• Currently credentialed as an APN or PA by the appropriate national certifying body.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary patient care, including being a surgical first assistant.
• Care of hospitalized neurosurgical patients in the Pediatric and Neonatal Intensive Care Units.
• Evaluate new consultations in the hospital and emergency department.
• Serve as a first assistant in the operating room for pediatric neurosurgery procedures.
• Establish and maintain communication with other healthcare providers and departments.

Skills

Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally

Ability to learn operative techniques

Proven ability to care for high acuity, high complexity patients

Desire to learn and perform procedures appropriate in the pediatric neurosurgery setting

Ability to work individually and as a team

Education

Master's degree in Advanced Practice Nursing (Acute Care NP) or Physician Assistant Studies
