Job summary

Children's National Hospital in Washington, DC seeks an Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA/CNS) to deliver evidence-based care within the Neurosurgery team. The APP will assess, plan, and manage patient care, coordinating with physicians, nursing, and care teams, with a focus on family-centered care.

The role requires relevant advanced practice credentials, state licensure, and DEA as applicable, with leadership responsibilities and ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Assesses and monitors patient status using evidence-based practice.
• Develops and implements detailed plan of care.
• Writes orders, prescribes therapy, and coordinates home care as needed.
• Identifies changes in patient status via exam, labs and tests.
• Leads multidisciplinary patient care and educators the team.
• Acts as a clinical resource for staff and families.
