Job summary

Inova Health System's Inova L.J. Murphy Children's Hospital seeks a Pediatric Neurology APP to join the team full-time. The role offers sign-on and relocation assistance.

You will evaluate and manage pediatric patients with neurological conditions, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team and participating in education and quality initiatives.

Applicants must be NP with MSN/ACNP or PA with NCCPA, Virginia licensure, and BLS/PALS; credentialing and alignment with hospital policies are required.

Qualifications

• Education: NP with MSN/ACNP or similar post-master's program; PA with NCCPA certification.
• Experience: No specific experience required.
• Certification: BLS and PALS on start.
• Licensure: Virginia NP/PA licensure and relevant scope of practice.
• Payer Credentialing: Ability to credential and enroll as CMS payor.
• Medical Staff Credentialing: Credentialing for Medical Staff membership and privileges.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage pediatric neurological conditions in outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Perform comprehensive neurological assessments and order/interpret tests.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and prescribe/monitor meds per guidelines.
• Educate patients and families about conditions and treatment.
• Collaborate with pediatric neurologists and multidisciplinary team.
• Document encounters and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Participate in quality improvement and professional development.

Education

Masters in Advanced Clinical Practice or post-master's certificate for NP

Physician Assistant graduate with NCCPA certification
