Job summary

Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Toledo, OH is seeking a full-time Pediatric Neurologist to join our established team. The Division of Pediatric Neurology provides hospital call coverage, inpatient/ED consultations, and outpatient clinical care.

Qualified candidates must have completed a residency in Child Neurology and be board certified or board eligible in Neurology with Special Qualifications in Child Neurology.

Qualifications

• Must have completed a residency in Child Neurology.
• Board certified or board eligible in Neurology with Special Qualifications in Child Neurology.
• Strong clinical skills and a commitment to teaching and community service.

Responsibilities

• Conducts patient assessments and diagnoses medical conditions.
• Develops and implements treatment plans for patients in accordance with established protocols. Monitors patient progress and adjusts treatment plans as necessary.
• Orders and interprets diagnostic tests to aid in patient diagnosis and treatment.
• Communicates with patients and their families to provide education and support.
• Maintains accurate and up-to-date medical records for each patient and coordinates care with other healthcare professionals.
• Participates in the training and education of medical students, residents, and fellows as required.
• Stays up-to-date with medical advancements and research to provide the best possible care.

Education

Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine equivalent

Graduate of an approved Fellowship program if applicable
