Cook Children’s Health Care System in Prosper, TX seeks a board-certified/board-eligible pediatric neurologist with epilepsy training to join our growing Neurology team at Prosper Campus.

The position focuses on outpatient clinics and inpatient consultations with an emerging EMU and collaboration with the main campus in Fort Worth for surgical workups and subspecialty consults.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in pediatric neurology with epilepsy subspecialty training.
• Texas medical license, DEA and BLS through AHA before employment.
• Completed accredited pediatric specialty training program.

Responsibilities

• Outpatient clinic and inpatient consultation only, treating a mix of general neurology and epilepsy patients.
• Up-and-coming 4-bed Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) at Prosper.
• Call schedule: 1:5 nights and 1:5 weekends.
• Collaborate with epilepsy group at main CCMC Fort Worth for complex surgical workups.

Summary: Cook Children's Health Care System (CCHCS) based in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a board certified/board eligible child neurologist with subspecialty training in epilepsy to join our growing Neurology team at our Cook Children's Medical Center (CCMC) in Prosper, TX as a junior physician. Our Prosper Campus is a state-of-the-art medical facility including a free-standing children\'s hospital, multispecialty outpatient clinics, and urgent care. Opened in 2022, the hospital includes emergency services, medical/surgical unit, and operating rooms.

Key Opportunity Highlights:

• Join an established neurology group of 2 providers at our growing Prosper campus.
• Enjoy close collaboration with the entire neurology group, as well as the CCMC main campus in Fort Worth, with ability to consult with other sub-speciality neurology providers in neuro-immunology, neuromuscular, movement, surgical epilepsy, stroke, neuro-oncology, and headache.
• Outpatient clinic and inpatient consultation only, treating a mix of general neurology and epilepsy patients.
• Upcoming 4 bed Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) to open.
• Call schedule will be 1:5 nights and 1:5 weekends.
• Video EEG and MRI and neuropsychology are available at Prosper; however, our Prosper neurology team refers to the epilepsy group at the main campus for surgical work up.

Minimum qualifications:

• Incumbent must have completed an accredited pediatric specialty training program and be board certified/board eligible in child neurology with subspecialty training in epilepsy.
• Must be qualified to obtain an unrestricted Texas Medical License, DEA and BLS through AHA (American Heart Association) prior to receiving medical staff privilege's and commencing employment.
