Job summary

Washington University in St. Louis is seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator to support pediatric neurology patients across the continuum of care. The role combines outpatient coverage with a hybrid office schedule (approximately 50% remote).

The position focuses on coordination of care, phone triage, prescriptions, scheduling tests, and physician communications to assure service continuity. The ideal candidate will have an accredited nursing degree, Missouri/Illinois RN licensure, and BLS

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with two years of nursing experience.
• Current RN licensure in Missouri and/or Illinois, depending on location, per Compact Act.
• Basic Life Support certification or obtain within one month of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide indirect outpatient care, including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patients.
• Coordinate patient care, orders for diagnostic tests, and referrals to outside sources.
• Assist physician with examinations, procedures and other direct patient care tasks as needed.
• Perform nursing administrative duties, including infection control and quality assurance.
• Act as liaison and team leader, facilitating communication between patients, families and health team members.
