Job Summary

The Neonatologist – Division of Neonatology – East Tennessee State University – located in the scenic Central Appalachian Highlands, offers a vibrant community and excellent professional opportunities.

The Department of Pediatrics at East Tennessee State University, Quillen College of Medicine, seeks a full-time Neonatologist at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Professor, based on experience. This is a non-tenure track position, jointly hired with Medical Education Assistance Corporation (MEAC).

Responsibilities include clinical care for a 39-bed level III NICU with in-house nurse practitioners, outpatient high-risk neonatal follow-up, teaching medical students and pediatric residents, quality improvement, and academic pursuits. The NICU handles over 800 admissions annually at Niswonger Children’s Hospital, which offers air and ground transport. An active perinatology division supports maternal evaluation and management through the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
