An established industry player is seeking a dedicated nursing professional to join their team in a critical care setting. This role involves providing expert nursing care for critically ill infants and children, leading a team of nursing staff, and ensuring the highest standards of patient advocacy and safety. Provides professional nursing care for patients in the clinical setting. Provides leadership to nursing staff members, and collaborates with other members of the health care team to assure quality care for the Patients. Promotes, plans, directs, and implements medical management and safe transportation for critically ill/injured infant or child, in consultation with the attending physician. Maintains standards of professional nursing practice.
Education: Graduate of professional school of nursing required.
Experience: 3 years of Full Time employment in a critical care or emergency department setting required. PICU or NICU preferred.
Licensure/Certifications/Registration:Must possess current Virginia nursing license. BLS required. As of 01/01/19 C-NPT (Certified Neonatal Pediatric Transport) is required within 2 years of hire.
Other Minimum Qualifications: Must have understanding of human growth and development. Successful completion of Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Neonatal Resuscitation Programs and Advanced Cardiac Life Support prior to coming off orientation and Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course and STABLE within 1 year. Must successfully complete orientation and competency validation yearly for position. Must possess exceptional interpersonal skills and high tolerance to stress. Must be able to fulfill physical requirements of the position. Must be self-motivated.
