Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System in Houston seeks a Dietitian II to apply evidence-based medical nutrition therapy for patients of all ages at nutrition risk. You will assess needs, provide therapy and education, and collaborate on care plans within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food & Nutrition; Master’s required if registration after Jan 1, 2024.
• CDR registration and Texas TDLR license required.
• CPR certification required.
• Two years clinical nutrition experience with Bachelor’s; one year with Master’s; or zero with Doctoral degree.
• After one year, must obtain career ladder criteria to maintain II classification.
• Proficient communication skills and ability to work with a team.
• Proficient use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint.

Responsibilities

• Interprets and formulates comprehensive nutrition care plans with physician/Nurse screening referral.
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary team to set nutrition goals and develop care plans.
• Oversees medical nutrition therapy and tailors regimens to patient preferences.
• Documents nutrition care plans and monitoring parameters in medical records.
• Outlines age-appropriate nutrition education for patients and families.
• Coordinates cross-coverage and manages multiple demands.
• Adheres to policies, procedures, and standards including budgeting and quality.
• Preceptor and mentor to less experienced staff.
• Demonstrates compassionate, personalized care and service standards.
