Job summary

Baystate Medical Center is seeking a Music Therapist to join our Pediatric Palliative Care team in Springfield, MA. This full-time role (40 hours/week) offers weekday schedules, community-based patient services across Hampden and surrounding counties, and opportunities for professional growth.

The position requires a Bachelor's Degree, BCMT certification, and at least five years of experience with children. Compensation is based on a system-wide salary range and includes comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 5 years of music therapy experience working with children with various needs.
• Bachelor's Degree in Music Therapy or related field.
• Board Certified Music Therapist (BCMT) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Establish, document, and evaluate clinical music therapy goals and objectives for pediatric patients and families.
• Plan, implement, adapt, and evaluate interventions to address psychosocial needs.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to support patient and family care.
• Integrate diverse music therapy approaches into treatment planning.
• Supervise practicum students and interns; stay current with research.
• Communicate clinical information clearly to other professionals.
