Job summary

CHCL seeks a Pediatric Mental Health Therapist to provide outpatient services for children and adolescents in a community health center setting. You will conduct assessments, diagnose, and implement evidence-based interventions (CBT, play therapy) with a collaborative care approach.

Responsibilities include developing treatment plans, crisis intervention, and coordinating with families, schools, and primary care providers.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in counseling or related field; Texas license to practice.
• Experience with children/adolescents in clinical settings.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, family, and group therapy for pediatric patients (ages 5+).
• Perform biopsychosocial assessments and ongoing diagnostic evaluations.
• Develop and update individualized treatment plans with patients and caregivers.
• Address anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioral issues, and family stressors.
• Provide crisis intervention and safety planning; refer to higher levels of care as needed.
• Maintain compliant EHR documentation within required timelines.
• Collaborate with primary care, care coordinators, case managers, and community partners.
• Educate families on mental health conditions and coping strategies.
