Job summary

Miami Children’s Hospital seeks an experienced licensed mental health professional to provide behavioral therapy within the outpatient clinic. The role involves working with children, adolescents and families, offering evidence-based interventions and contributing to care continuity with external agencies.

The candidate will perform psychosocial evaluations, develop treatment plans, document progress notes, and participate in billing and records management.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in mental health field required.
• State of Florida Licensed Mental Health Counselor or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist - active and in good standing.
• AHA BLS certification within 90 days of hire and CPI within 180 days of hire.
• 2–3 years of experience in individual, group and family therapy.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and provides behavioral therapy and healthcare services in outpatient clinic.
• Acts as liaison with outside agencies for continuity of care.
• Completes initial psychosocial evaluation including DSM-V diagnosis and treatment plan.
• Completes billing, documentation, and progress notes after each visit; ensures alignment with treatment goals.
