We are currently seeking a dedicated Pediatric Therapist to provide in-home mental health therapy to children ages 4-12 in Garfield Heights, OH, and surrounding areas.
Position Overview:
This part-time role offers flexible hours with the potential to transition into a full-time salaried position as the caseload grows. The Pediatric Therapist will deliver individual and family therapy in-home, supporting young children in managing emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide trauma-informed, developmentally appropriate mental health therapy to children ages 4-11 in their home environments.
- Conduct clinical assessments, develop treatment plans, and adjust interventions as needed.
- Work closely with families, caregivers, and school staff to promote a holistic approach to the child’s well-being.
- Utilize evidence-based practices to address behavioral concerns, anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, and other mental health challenges.
- Maintain accurate documentation of sessions and progress in accordance with compliance and ethical guidelines.
- Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development opportunities.
- Collaborate with community resources to ensure wraparound support for families.
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
- Active Ohio Licensure (LPC, LPCC, LSW, LISW, or equivalent).
- Experience working with children (ages 4-12) in a mental health setting, preferably providing in-home services.
- Training in play therapy, CBT, TF-CBT, or other child-focused interventions is a plus.
- Strong ability to build rapport with children and families.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel within the Garfield Heights area.
