Job summary

Children’s National Hospital is seeking a qualified Medical Laboratory Technologist for the Send-Out Lab at the Main Campus in Washington, DC. The role spans Blood Bank, Chemistry, Hematology, Immunology, Microbiology, Virology, and Genetics per SOPs and reports results.

The position requires a Bachelor’s in Medical Technology, MT(ASCP) eligibility, and at least 1 year in an accredited clinical lab; evening shift 3pm-11:30pm; salary range listed and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Medical Technology or equivalent related field (Required).
• 1 year of experience in an accredited clinical laboratory (Required).
• Registry or eligible MT(ASCP) (Required).
• Math ability with statistics preferred."

Responsibilities

• Perform routine technical procedures following standard operating procedures.
• Report tests accurately and maintain quality control.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and monitor calibration.
• Demonstrate competence in assigned areas and serve as a technical resource.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance in all tasks.
