Job summary

OrthoPediatrics Corp. is seeking a Development Engineer to support the Project Core Team from concept through market release of pediatric orthopedic devices.

You will collaborate with surgeons, marketing staff, and technical sales to translate clinical needs into robust designs, create 3-D CAD models and drawings, and ensure designs meet design controls and risk management requirements. Candidates should have a BS in mechanical or biomechanical engineering (ABET-accredited) and experience with

Qualifications

• BS in mechanical or biomechanical engineering from an ABET-accredited engineering school.
• Experience in regulated medical device industry preferred, especially spine fusion products.
• Familiarity with CAD systems and geometric tolerancing (GD&T).

Responsibilities

• Complete tasks in a timely manner.
• Support Design History File and Risk Management File creation and maintenance.
• Work with surgeons and project teams to develop concepts into usable products.
• Create 3-D CAD models and engineering drawings.
• Develop understanding of existing and new products and work within design controls.
