PM Pediatrics is seeking a Medical Assistant to support pediatric urgent care services. The role involves clinical and administrative duties, patient intake, vital signs, basic labs, and preparing patients for imaging, under physician supervision.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED and prior Medical Assistant experience, with strong communication and pediatric experience. Office software skills and professionalism are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior Medical Assistant experience or education preferred.
• Knowledge of pediatric care and EKG placement in children is beneficial.
• Ability to obtain lab tests via nasal swab and venipuncture.
• Professional and friendly demeanor required.
• Strong communication and organizational skills necessary.
• Prior pediatric experience preferred.
• Comfortable with computers and basic software.
• Experience with medical records is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and administrative support for providers, patients, and office operations.
• Greet and register patients as they arrive.
• Obtain medical history, patient vital signs, and intake.
• Prepare patients for X-rays.
• Perform and document routine labs (venipuncture experience preferred).
• Irrigate and assist with wounds; assist in lab quality control.
• Be part of the patient care team and assist within scope of practice.
• Maintain exam rooms and front reception stock; keep waiting area clean.
• Follow safety practices and precautions; respond to emergencies.
