Advocate Health is seeking a Medical Assistant for the Advocate Children’s Hospital in Park Ridge. The role supports providers, communicates with patients, and ensures a compassionate experience in ambulatory care.

The position offers a 40-hour, Monday–Friday schedule with rotating Saturdays and one evening per week, in a fast-paced pediatric setting. Ideal candidates have a MA diploma or 2+ years MA experience, or certification with MA experience; phlebotomy skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must have a medical assistant diploma or 2 years MA experience or be a certified MA with 2 years MA experience.
• Phlebotomy skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and support their transition into care.
• Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and health screenings.
• Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during procedures.
• Administer medications and vaccines as directed.
• Perform lab-related tasks including specimen collection and point-of-care testing.
• Document care accurately in the electronic health record.
• Partner with physicians, nurses, and teammates to deliver high-quality, coordinated care.
