Job summary

McAlister Pediatrics is seeking a Medical Assistant for a full-time role in the 01450 GCMG McAlister Pediatrics - Pediatrics: General department. Schedule is Monday through Friday with no weekends or holidays, totaling 40 hours per week.

The position offers benefits eligibility and a pay range of $21.85–$32.80 per hour. Responsibilities include patient rooming, vital signs, history intake, medication reconciliation, and assisting with procedures.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform routine and complex technical skills within the Medical Assistant scope of practice after demonstrated competency.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to develop rapport with patients, team members and physicians.
• Proficient computer skills including keyboarding.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to Medical Assistant scope of practice and follows department policies.
• Performs rooming/visit tasks: vitals, med reconciliation, history, health maintenance, allergy review, screenings.
• Assists provider with procedures as ordered.
• Performs lab duties: venipuncture, specimen handling, POCT per standing order; CLIA-waived tests.
• Administers medications and vaccines safely.
• Cross trained to support multiple clinic duties within the Medical Assistant scope.
• Maintains clean work environment and stocked supplies.
• Provides age-appropriate care and communicates effectively with patients and families.
