Job summary

North Pinellas Children's Medical Center in Palm Harbor, FL seeks a full-time Medical Assistant to support providers and care team in a fast-paced pediatric practice. You will handle clinical and administrative tasks, including vital signs, patient prep, documentation, and coordination of referrals.

The role requires evening/weekend shifts on a rotating basis, a high school diploma and CMA/CNA certification.

Qualifications

• Education: Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification: CMA/CNA certification.
• Experience: 1–2 years in the medical field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures patient documentation for visits is scanned and assembled in the chart for the physician's review.
• Greets and escorts the patient and family to examine the room.
• Prepares patient for examination and obtains vital signs.
• Updates chief complaint/reason for visit and medications/allergies.
• Administers and reviews screening tests and assists with procedures as directed.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and follows safety policies.
