Job summary

Bluebird Kids Health is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support a pediatric care team. The role includes patient care, exam room preparation, vital signs, and administrative tasks to ensure smooth daily operations in our clinic.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, a medical assisting program, CMA or RMA certification preferred, and at least one year of patient-facing experience, with pediatric experience and CPR certification highly valued.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a medical assisting program (preferred).
• Certifications: CMA or RMA preferred.
• Experience: Minimum one year as a medical assistant or patient-facing role; pediatric experience & vaccine administration preferred.
• Other: Current CPR certificate and familiarity with HIPAA and healthcare laws.
• Proficiency with taking vital signs and documenting patient care in EMR.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare them for examinations.
• Take and record vital signs (BP, temperature, pulse).
• Assist healthcare providers during procedures and administer medications as directed.
• Greet patients, answer calls, schedule appointments and manage medical records.
