Allied Physicians Bayside Pediatrics in Bayside, NY is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our patient-focused team. You will greet patients, take vitals, assist with intake, and support providers during visits in a busy pediatric setting.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of Medical Assistant or Medical Receptionist experience, with strong multitasking, communication, and organizational skills. Proficiency with AthenaOne or Phreesia is highly preferred; a high school diploma or equivalent is

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of Medical Assistant and/or Medical Receptionist experience preferred.
• Experience with AthenaOne and/or Phreesia strongly preferred
• Strong multitasking, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and adapt to changing environments
• Professional, dependable, and team-oriented attitude
• Pediatric or multi-site medical office experience preferred
• High School Diploma or equivalent required

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in patients while providing excellent customer service
• Obtain vitals, update medical histories, and assist with patient intake
• Prepare patients for visits and support providers during appointments as needed
• Perform basic clinical duties including specimen collection, and point-of-care testing as applicable
• Schedule appointments and assist with patient registration
• Answer phones, process messages, and support office communication
• Verify insurance, collect copays, and maintain accurate patient information
• Support referrals, forms, scanning, and general administrative tasks
