Tampa General Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Pediatric Med Surg in Tampa, Florida. The role involves direct patient care, care planning, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team in a high-acuity setting.

Current Florida RN licensure is required, with preferred pediatric experience. This is a staff, 36-hour weekly position with 12-hour night shifts, contributing to ongoing pediatric care across a busy unit.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Florida RN license required.
• Pediatric experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care based on comprehensive assessment of physical, psychosocial, developmental, educational, and spiritual patient needs.
• Develop, implement, document, and communicate goal-directed plans of care.
• Monitor patient status and promptly identify, elevate, and respond to changes requiring clinical intervention.
• Maintain a safe patient care environment and comply with infection control and patient safety standards.
• Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, patients, and families to coordinate care and support clinical decision‑making.
• Participate in quality improvement, performance improvement, and organizational initiatives.
• Serve as charge nurse or preceptor when assigned, supporting unit operations and staff development.
• Maintain required competencies, continuing education, and mandatory training.
• Pediatric experience preferred.
