Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of medical assistant program preferred.
• 6 months of patient-care experience may substitute education.

Responsibilities

• Pre-Visit Planning to ensure clinic efficiency and identify care gaps.
• Prepare exam rooms and maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Greet patients and families and direct them to exam rooms.
• Maintain clinic flow, monitor patient location and wait time.
• Collect and document vitals, health screenings, allergies, and meds.
• Assist with immunizations, medications, and procedures as directed.
• Communicate with providers and staff to sustain operations.
• Alert RN or provider for any patient needing immediate assistance.
• Assist with paperwork, prior authorizations, and patient services.
