Job summary

UNC Family Medicine and Pediatrics at Holly Springs in North Carolina is seeking a Pediatric Nurse (LPN) to join UNC Health Care and provide direct patient care across inpatient, ambulatory, home health or hospice settings. Work hours are 8:00am–5:00pm, with day-shift scheduling and onsite work in Holly Springs.

The ideal candidate will have an accredited LPN program diploma, North Carolina LPN licensure with BLS, and at least 1 year of LPN experience to support patient care plans and family

Qualifications

• Requires graduation from a state accredited Practical Nurse program.
• LPN licensure in North Carolina with BLS certification.
• Minimum of 1 year of LPN experience.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to an individualized plan of care and coordinates with health professionals.
• Observes and documents patient responses and updates care priorities accordingly.
• Participates in department activities and CQI initiatives.
• Provides a broad range of nursing treatments and patient education per care plan.
• Assists patients and families during admission, orientation, and discharge.
• Supports families and de-escalates anxious or challenging patients.
